I guess when it comes to Pamela Anderson, you go big or you go home (see what I did there?!?!).
The actress, who’s known for her assets more than her talent plans to run in the famed New York City Marathon this coming November, but there’s only one problem – she’s never ran in a marathon, of any sort.
The NYC Marathon is a grueling 26+ mile run and for somebody who’s never even participated in a marathon before, it’s quite the challenge though Anderson says she’s not worried:
“I like to do things that people think maybe I can’t do, and this is definitely one of those things,” says Anderson, calling the Daily News from her Malibu mansion after shopping for Nike running sneakers with her trainer. “You know, somehow I learned to dance, learned to skate, and all these things that people thought I couldn’t do. Now, I’m running a marathon.”
In fairness to the former Baywatch star, she’s doing it all for charity – a very cool decision by Anderson as she was only asked to greet the runners, but rather opted to run in the race:
The Canadian-turned-California girl volunteered for the punishing run to raise $500,000 on Crowdrise for Sean Penn’s J/P Haitian Relief Organization, which provides victims of the country’s 2010 earthquake with new homes, health care and schooling. The charity wanted her to simply hug their elite runners crossing the Central Park finish line, but Anderson, who has visited Haiti twice since the devastating disaster, suggested taking it a step further.
