Still no time-table for Glen Davis' return, Arron Afflalo is healthy and ready

With the Orlando Magic’s training camp opening up on October 1st, general manager Rob Hennigan spoke to reporters about power forward Glen Davis and guard Arron Afflalo.

Davis underwent foot surgery earlier in the year but doesn’t know when he’ll be able to return to action for the Orlando Magic.

“Davis is progressing on schedule slowly. And that’s by design. We’re being very cautious and very vigilant in how he is preparing.” Rob Hennigan told NBA.com.

‘Big Baby’ Davis was thought to be cleared by the end of this month, but from the sounds of it he may not be ready for training camp at all. This leaves things open for 21 year old Tobia Harris and 23 year old Andrew Nicholson who could be fighting for playing time while Davis is still recovering.

Now when it comes to Afflalo, things are looking a lot better compared to Davis and his situation. According to John Denton, Hennigan says he looks healthy and ready to go for training camp.

Afflalo should be set to start for the Orlando Magic at the shooting guard position.
