The San Francisco 49ers are coming of a demoralizing loss at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts, and must now hit the road and try to bounce-back in a divisional game against the St. Louis Rams. They’ve already lost one of their top defensive players in Aldon Smith, and no one knows when he’ll return, so they need everyone else to play Thursday night against a Rams team that they were unable to defeat last year.

One player they can’t afford to be without is All-Pro tight end Vernon Davis, who will likely be a game time decision on Thursday:

This is a tough situation for both the 49ers and anyone who drafted Davis to be one of their top scorers in fantasy football. Make sure you monitor his status leading up to the game, and watch the waiver wire for pickups like Cleveland browns TE Jordan Cameron, who is surprisingly still available in many leagues.
