Wednesday's America's Cup finale will be EPIC

(It’s still cool to misuse “epic” when you’re too lazy to grab a thesaurus, right?)

I am not an expert on sailing. I don’t know a whole lot (read: anything) about the America’s Cup competition. So why am I writing this? Well, I love the USA, and right now the USA is on the verge of completing the greatest comeback in the 162-year history of the America’s Cup. So it is my patriotic duty to inform you to tune in to the NBC Sports Network at 4 p.m. ET to see if Oracle Team USA can beat Emirates Team New Zealand.

Oracle Team USA began the competition by falling behind 8-1 to the New Zealand squad in the first-to-nine series. Yeah, not a good start. But Oracle Team USA has battled back thanks to Paul Bunyan, apple pie, and bald eagles. (Oracle Team USA would have won the competition on Tuesday if it weren’t for penalties they were assessed for cheating in a warm-up race.)

Enjoy the exciting final day of competition! We’ll keep you posted with the results.
