Cal running back Daniel Lasco says Golden Bears will ‘shock the world’ against Oregon

California Golden Bears running back Daniel Lasco is a confident guy, I’ll give him that. With his team set to take on the No. 2 Oregon Ducks on Saturday — a game in which Oregon is favored by five touchdowns — the sophomore running back had this to say about the Oregon defense:

They’re fast, they swarm to the ball. Other than that, they’re just another football team. Nothing special, nothing we can’t handle. In my mind, I know we’re going to go in there and we’re going to win (SF Gate).

Lasco continued:

If we’re trying to go to the Rose Bowl, this is the game we have to win. I feel this team is focused and we’re about to go in there and shock the world.

Lasco and the other Cal running backs (Brendan Bigelow and Khalfani Muhammad) will likely need to have strong performances on Saturday to take some of the pressure off Cal’s freshman quarterback Jared Goff, who will be making his first conference road start in the deafening Autzen Stadium.

The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. PT and can be seen on the Pac-12 Network.

Rose Bowl! Shock the world!? Nothing we can’t handle? From a guy who had 9 carries for 28 yards and a mouthpiece for a team that was trounced 55-10 maybe there is a lesson to be learnex concerning pre- game nonsense talk…..
