There is a going to be a new film plucked from the realm of video games. For some time now, there have been talks that a film based on the video game Need for Speed was in the works, but we now know that there is truth behind those talks as we get our first look at the trailer for the upcoming film Need For Speed.

The DreamWorks Studios film will feature Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul in the feature role.

According to IMDb.com, Paul will be playing the role of Tobey Marshall, a man fresh out of prison, framed by a wealthy businessman for a crime he didn’t commit who then sets out on a cross-country racing circuit to exact his revenge upon those who opposed him.

There is a very haunting tone to the trailer. The monologue executed by the main character screams of a man who has been driven straight to the very edge of insanity by the people who ultimately betrayed him; almost as if he has been blinded by revenge.

“They took everything from me. I do not fear, for you are with me. All those who defied me shall be ashamed and disgraced. Those who wage war against me shall perish. I will find strength, find guidance, and I will triumph.”

There are two things that there are definitely no shortage of in the film; fast cars and explosions. Sprinkle in a good storyline, and we could be in store for one high powered adventure.

Need For Speed is scheduled to hit theaters on March 14, 2014.
