Toronto Raptors' Amir Johnson buys tons of Drake albums, gives them to fans

For Drake fans, yesterday was the day – his new album, Nothing Was the Same was finally released and people rushed to their Itunes account to pick it up – because you didn’t illegally download it prior, right?

One person who didn’t rush to his Itunes account though was Toronto Raptors forward Amir Johnson. Nope. In fact, what Johnson did was hit downtown Toronto in a giving mood. Johnson went to two record stores (they still have those?!) Future Shop and an HMV and purchased every single copy they had in stock.

Why would somebody need hundreds of copies of a rap album, you ask? Simple. To give away to fans.

Johnson posted a picture of himself on Instagram with the mass amount of albums and later posted a picture of himself and fans, all holding up the album.

Pretty cool of Amir, I have to say.

There’s no word on how many copies he actually bought, but judging by the two basket fulls he has in the picture (and that’s just one store) I imagine that was a pretty hefty bill come checkout.
