The Dallas Cowboys signed Brian Waters right before the start of the season to shore up their offensive line. He has only played in a limited role this season rotating with Mackenzy Bernadeau.

“That’s the goal, to try to make it through the whole game,” said Waters, via the Dallas Morning News. “We’ll see how it goes. Mack (Bernadeau) will be ready to go. I think we’re all confident he’ll be ready to go if anything happens.”

Waters admits he isn’t quite 100% and ready to go, but that he is particularly harsh on himself.

“I’ve still got a ways to go,” Waters said. “That’s the way I’m going to always look at it. I’m going to be my hardest critic. I still feel like I have a ways to go.”

“I maybe can’t run as fast as I used to, but I can still get from Point A to Point B fast enough. I haven’t had to alter my game at all.”

Waters will be injected into a starting line up that is coming off a good game. They allowed just one sack and running back DeMarco Murray is coming off a big game where he rushed for 175 yards.

Waters last start came with the New England Patriots against the New York Giants in the Super Bowl.
