Few players in the NBA have a brighter star than Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving.
The face of the Cavs franchise was recently in South Africa taking part in a UNICEF trip where he met with local school children, who apparently questioned his dancing skill.
Not one to miss an opportunity, not only did Irving get his boogie on in front of the class (and did quite well, if I must say so myself), but he also had a small dance off with a willing student which was straight out of a Step Up film.
Iriving talked about the experience to the Plain Dealer’s Mary Schmitt Boyer:
“Being around the kids, that’s what it was about [...] That was the main reason I went. My first time there. I can finally say I did it. The special thing for me was going with my father, and experiencing it with him.”
Not only to the Cavs have a star on the court, they have one off.
Good on Irving for partaking in the trip.
