Kobe Bryant says he would love for Derek Fisher to play with Los Angeles Lakers

Five time NBA Champion Derek Fisher is currently a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder, though, he will be a free agent at the conclusion of the 2013-14 season.

If he continues to play past this season and if Kobe Bryant remains with the Los Angeles Lakers, Black Mamba says he’d be more than happy with a reunion as Bryant recently suggested in an interview which took place in Dubai (H/T Pro Basketball Talk):

“My all time favorite teammate has always been Derek Fisher. He’s been my favorite teammate, I would love to see him back in a Lakers uniform so we could kind of finish out together.”

Of course, as mentioned above, Bryant will be a free agent at season end (though is nearly a lock to return to Los Angeles) and Fisher, who is soon to be 39-years-old has already spoken of potential retirement. Still, if the opportunity presents itself for Fisher to play one more season with Bryant in Los Angeles, that would be a tough scenario to pass up.
