By now we have all heard the reports that the NBA has been considering using player nicknames on the back of jerseys for specialized games this upcoming season, but nothing has been officially decided. The nicknames would bring us all back to the days of “He Hate Me” and the XFL, but it would be an easy way for the league to sell more jerseys that feature player nicknames.

You can decide for yourself whether or not you think it is a good idea, but we won’t know for sure how silly it would look on the court until we would get a real look at the jerseys.

Luckily for all of us, the fine folks at Bleacher Report took some time to photoshop jerseys from some of the top players around the league to give us an idea of what we could expect. From King James to Black Mamba to The Truth, it’s definitely something that would take some getting used to.
