2 Chainz was recording the music video for his new single “Used 2.” The track is produced by former Cash Money Records in house producer Mannie Fresh. He as also one half of the hip-hop duo Big Tymers with Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman.
One of the biggest hip hop groups, at one point in time, signed to Cash Money was the Hot Boys, which included Juvenile, B.G., Lil Wayne, and Turk.
So for this video they decided to reunite the Hot Boys group, minus B.G. who is still locked up. B.G. is serving a 14 year sentence in federal prison.
The song doesn’t sample Juvenile’s song “Back That Azz Up,” but he pays homage to his song with his verses in the song. It is kind of similar to the homage Eminem pays Rakim’s song “As The Rhyme Goes On” in the chorus of “The Way I Am.” You should be able to pick up on the tribute in 2 Chainz’s verses.
Anyways it looks like an exciting music video and it is interesting to see the Hot Boys back together.
