Anthony Davis looking to add muscle to his frame in hopes of improving defense

If you want to be a dominant big man in this league, you’re going to need a lot of muscle on your side if you have any hopes of over powering your opponent.

This is exactly what the young forward/center for the New Orleans Pelicans is doing as he prepares for his second season in the league. According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Davis has already gained around 12 pounds to his frame and wants to continue to add.

“I have gained at least 10 to 12 pounds and I want to gain at least five more. That’s the ideal goal for me right now. I’ve been staying on top of it, eating more and gaining weight. I’m eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything helps and it is showing.” Davis told the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

I fully expect this kid to make an impact on this league this season. I was always a fan of his but knew he had to add a lot more to his frame. Best of luck to this game this season, hope it works out well for him.
