Phoenix Mercuy guard Diana Taurasi and Minnesota Lynx star Seimone Augustus are no strangers to each other and they met again on the court Thursday night in the WNBA playoffs. After some highly competitive action all game long, the two exchanged some shoulder bumps and shrugs before bring their face-to-face moment to an interesting conclusion.
After the initial shoves, Taurasi leaned in to give Augustus a little kiss that left both players smiling and the announcers laughing.
However, apparently a kiss doesn’t sit well with the referees.
Both Taurasi and Augustus were assessed personal fouls for their exchange, which was harmless and entertaining. Unfortunately, the ref didn’t see things that way.
If you didn’t catch the moment between Taurasi and Augustus, you can watch the video below:
We wonder what would happen if this took place on the NBA court.
If LeBron and Kobe were going head to head in the NBA Finals and a shove was followed by a little peck, something tells me one of the players would react with more than a smile and the result wouldn’t be a peaceful double-personal foul.
