This has been an amazing season for not only Mike Napoli but the Boston Red Sox as an organization.

Napoli has pulled through nicely for the Boston Red Sox the entire season and has proven to be a great pick up by the ball club. Now imagine if he didn’t have that hip problem and his long term deal wasn’t reduced? This team could have him locked down for awhile.

The veteran catcher/first baseman has launched 23 home runs (seven away from his career high) and 90 RBI’s (career high) with a batting line of .257/.355/.480 through 136 games.

Napoli’s bat has has almost made history with this team in just one year. I believe right now he’s one grand slam away from tying Babe Ruth’s record of four. Three grand slams by one player is pretty amazing and has to be exciting.

Mike has missed the previous four games for the Red Sox but will return to the lineup today against the Baltimore Orioles. He’s been dealing with a left foot injury and could get another day off over the weekend as the team gets prepared for the post-season.
