Jodie Meeks aims to shoot 40 percent from long range

This seasons Los Angeles Lakers team are going to see a mix of players switching from point guard to shooting guard throughout the entire season.

Meeks is one of those players who will see time at both positions just like Steve Blake. Meeks concern right now, is improving his production from long range. Last season Meeks shot around 35 percent from down town and this season, he’s set on improving his numbers.

The 26 year old guard told the media today that he was looking to improve to at least 40 percent from long range this season. Which is a good number to start off at.

You don’t want to jump the gun and say you’ll shoot 60 percent. Meeks has the ability to hit from long range, he’s stepped up in a couple games last season and hit some clutch three point shots.
