Today is media day for the Los Angeles Lakers and of course the key topic of discussion was Kobe Bryant.

Right now the Lakers are preparing to bounce back from a disappointing 2012-2013 season. After barely reaching the playoffs despite having one of the best centers in the NBA, they’ll have to do better this season but without Howard.

I have a feeling Bryant is going to come back stronger than ever and make sure whoever matches up against him pay for even thinking about stepping on the court against his squad. Besides Lamar Odom being in the headlines for the league, Bryant’s recovery time has been bouncing back and forth.

One minute Kobe says he should be alright for opening night, then he’s not sure when he’ll return, then we’re back to square one with him or people claiming that he’s ready to return against the Clippers. Kobe Bryant spoke to reporters today during media day and said:

"“I don’t think we really have a timetable of where I should be right now.” Via Mike Trudell’s twitter."

Until Kobe is ready to suit up and play, reports are going to continue to bounce back and forth. Well, we all know that Bryant hasn’t really played 100 percent in a long time.
