The No. 6 Georgia football team was selected as the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl National Team of the Week by the Football Writers Association of America for its 44-41 win against visiting LSU in Week 5.
Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray was 20 of 34 for 298 yards, four touchdowns and one interception, Keith Marshall rushed 20 times for 96 yards, and Chris Conley reeled in five receptions for 112 yards and a TD during the Southeastern Conference tilt.
LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger was 23 of 37 for 372 yards and three TDs.
The Georgia football team (3-1) visits Tennessee at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, while the LSU football team (4-1) visits Mississippi State.
The honor named East Carolina, Northern Illinois and Western Virginia as other nominees for the award.
