According to a press release Monday, the Davey O’Brien Award named Georgia senior Aaron Murray Quarterback of the Week for his Week 5 performance in the Bulldogs’ 44-41 win against visiting LSU on Saturday.

Murray was 20 of 34 for 298 yards, four passing touchdowns and one rushing scoere and led the No. 6 Georgia football team to its second win against a team ranked in the top ten of the AP Top 25 poll this season. Georgia topped visiting South Carolina 41-30 on Sept. 7.

“Aaron Murray was phenomenal,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said after the game. “He kept answering every score with another great play or throw. He played so well.”
