Tiger Woods is pretty pleased with the members comprising the 2013 U.S. team for upcoming Presidents Cup. It’s not shocking to see why: six of the top 10 players in the world are on the U.S. team, whereas the International team boasts only one player in the top 10. As much as the talent, though, Woods is happy with the camaraderie he’s seen the 12-man squad display, talking in an interview on Tuesday about how fun the group is.
It’s fun because it’s a good group of guys. We all take a pretty good ribbing, and it’s constant. You wouldn’t expect the things that come out of (Dufner’s) mouth. Kuch is the same way. They are pretty funny guys and you just don’t expect … you expect the unexpected with those two (Reuters).
Of the nine matches in the history of the Presidents Cup, there has been only one win by the International team (plus a tie in 2003). Expect more of the same when the 2013 Presidents Cup begins on Thursday at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
