Avery Bradley will start at point guard for the Boston Celtics

An obvious decision has been made regarding the point guard position for the Boston Celtics. Avery Bradley will will start the beginning of the regular season for the Celtics until All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo returns.

The plays that I run, it’s kind of like I play point guard, but everyone makes plays for each other. You can bring the ball up, or the two-guard can bring the ball up. Everybody is interchangeable.” Avery Bradley said about his style of play.

The Celtics will use a rotation that will consist of Bradley, Courtney Lee and Jordan Crawford at both the point and shooting guard positions. Bradley is coming off multiple shoulder surgeries which he underwent last December but says he feels great.

This Boston Celtics team is gonna need him and this rotation to step it up until Rondo returns if they want to be able to hold their heads above water. Now I’m not saying they’re going to struggle and be the worst team in the league, but they lost Jason Terry, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, so they won’t be the same team they were a year ago.

Bradley should be able to hold things down for Rondo until he’s able to take over again. Then once that happens, I think this Celtics team will be a lot better.
