Boston Mayor antes up after losing Stanley Cup wager

View it while it’s hot, all!

After losing a wager made with Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel last spring made on the Boston Bruins-Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup finals, Boston mayor Thomas Menino paid up in full, and the city of Boston’s home page is currently posting the Blackhawks’ Cup victory celebration.

The home page also contains links to each mayor’s humble-brag-tastic letters to the other pertainning to their city’s culture, food, and past titles. They both get pretty smarmy.

Normally, all these mayoral wagers involve food and other lamer things, but putting up a video on his city’s website shows chutzpah by Menino, and makes this one of the better wagers in recent memory.
