Cameron Wake hopes to return for Miami Dolphins Week 5 game

The Miami Dolphins were without one of their top defenders on Monday night when they lost their first game of the season at the hands of the New Orleans Saints. Defensive end Cameron Wake headlined the inactives list for the team, but he plans on returning to the line up in Week 5 when they take on the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens.

I’m going to do everything I can to be ready for Sunday,” Wake said, via James Walker of ESPN.com. “Whatever decision is in the best interest of the team and the best interest for myself, that will be made on Sunday.”

Wake was inactive for the game as he recovers from a sprained knee and he was limited in practice on Wednesday, but he is taking all of the steps necessary to return to the field for Sunday’s big game.

Miami has been one of the pleasant surprises in the league this year and they would love to get back in the win column with a big victory over the Ravens.
