Famed mustachioed enforcer George Parros, currently of the Montreal Canadiens, was taken to a hospital after a horrific face-first fall onto the ice.
In a game between the Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs last night, Parros engaged in a second fight of the night with Leafs tough guy Colton Orr. The two had previously tussled while Parros was a member of the Anaheim Ducks, and it again appeared to be a pretty evenly-matched brawl between the two, until Orr lost his balance and began to fall towards the ice, clutching at Parros’ sweater.
As soon as Parros hit Orr knew something was wrong and called for help.
Parros later took to Twitter to thank the supportive Montreal fans:
Thanks for all the well wishes everyone #classyfollowers

This was a terrible black mark on an otherwise exciting opening night of hockey in Canada between the two ancient rivals, which ended in a 4-2 Leafs win.
