This is a match up between the 2012 English Premier League Champions, Manchester City, and the 2013 Bundesliga Treble winners, Bayern Munich. Both squads come into the match with new managers. Former Chelsea player Arjen Robben, and current Bayern Munich winger, is familiar with Manchester City.

“They are not the only club with a lot of money in Europe,” Robben said, via ESPN FC. “You can’t just buy quality, you have to build a team. Having enough good players will give you a chance of hitting the jackpot at some point.

“They have the potential to progress well this time.”

Munich’s new manager, Pep Guardiola, agrees with Robben.

“(Manchester) City are one of the biggest clubs in Europe,” Guardiola said, via ESPN FC. “You have to remember they didn’t get through the group stages in the last two seasons but I’m 100 per cent confident they will get through to the next round.”
