LSU’s Les Miles channels his inner Christopher Walken

Coming off a tough 44-41 loss to SEC rival Georgia last week, LSU (4-1 overall) is preparing in any and every way possible for their game this week against Mississippi State.

According to a report from the New Orleans Times-Picayune, head coach Les Miles has an interesting solution to the raucous crowd noise that their next SEC foe will bring to the table this Saturday.

“We’re thinking that piping in cowbells is something we need to run Thursday,” Miles conveyed to the  New Orleans Times-Picayune. “We piped in music pretty hard. Maybe the cowbells need a little tuning up.”

Davis Wade Stadium and the Mississippi patrons that attend the Bulldogs’ home games have a tradition of ringing cow bells, and according to the report, Les Miles is cognizant of the abundant noise the fans and their bells can bring.

Of course, the idea brings up the hilarious image of Christopher Walken in this Saturday Night Live sketch:

Mississippi State (2-2) is enjoying its third home game of the season.  In fact, six of the Bulldogs’ first 7 games are at home, and they only play four away games all year – for a total of eight at Davis Wade Stadium.

More cowbell indeed.
