Rick Pitino has interview in Boston that lasts only a few seconds

While Rick Pitino has achieved great success at the NCAA level, his resume in the NBA is less than stellar.

In six seasons as head coach, Pitino (who spent two seasons in New York, four in Boston) amassed a 192-220 record and is thought to be a large culprit in the Celtics’ late 90’s demise.

Needless to say, Pitino and Boston faithful didn’t exactly go out on the best terms. Still – over a decade later, you’d think feelings would be mended, but not with local radio hosts Toucher and Rich who pulled out some classless tactics on Pitino earlier this morning.

The former Celtics coach, talking time out of his afternoon, granted an interview to the Boston radio program which lasted about ten seconds:

Fred: We are joined by Rick Pitino, former coach of the Celtics, current coach of the Louisville Cardinals who won the national championship. Rick Pitino, hello!

Pitino:Morning, guys.

Fred: You stink. You ruined the Celtics.

That’s it. They hung up on Rick.
