The boyhood dream of Brian Hoyer becoming the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback may have just ended, after he was hit trying to scramble for a first-down when Buffalo Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso planted him into the ground. Hoyer’s leg got caught awkwardly underneath him and he stayed on the ground in pain for a few minutes before limping off the field.
After rolling around in pain for a few minutes, he had to be helped off of the field, and was eventually taken back to the locker-room under his own power, but did walk very gingerly. The Browns called it a right knee injury.
The team believes he suffered a torn ACL and other possible damage to his right knne, but they won’t know the full-extent of his injury until he undergoes an MRI:
Browns are concerned QB Brian Hoyer tore his ACL last night but will not know for until he undergoes an MRI today.

It looks like Weeden is the guy for the remainder of the season.
