Brian Hoyer MRI coming; Results likely today

The boyhood dream of Brian Hoyer becoming the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback may have just ended, after he was hit trying to scramble for a first-down when Buffalo Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso planted him into the ground. Hoyer’s leg got caught awkwardly underneath him and he stayed on the ground in pain for a few minutes before limping off the field.

After rolling around in pain for a few minutes, he had to be helped off of the field, and was eventually taken back to the locker-room under his own power, but did walk very gingerly. The Browns called it a right knee injury.

The team believes he suffered a torn ACL and other possible damage to his right knne, but they won’t know the full-extent of his injury until he undergoes an MRI:

It looks like Weeden is the guy for the remainder of the season.
