After E.J. Manuel went down in Thursday night’s loss with an injury, rumors began to swirl that the Buffalo Bills would likely show interest in recently released quarterback, Josh Freeman.

So, do the Bills plan to make a move and sign the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback?

Not yet, though, according to Ian Rapoport, they’re ‘keeping their options open’.

Per Rapoport:

"Will #Bills be interested in Josh Freeman? Short answer is, they’re keeping all options open. Should miss EJ Manuel for 6 weeks or so"

Right now, the Bills still don’t have definitive word on Manuel’s injury, so they’re not even sure if they need to make a move (of that significance) yet.

It’s possible that Manuel could miss 6-8 weeks with his LCL sprain, though, it’s also possible it may just be a few week absence, so getting final word on his injury will play a part in whatever move the Bills make next.

They certainly can’t feel too confident with Jeff Tuel (who’s the only quarterback on the current roster, mind you) but then again, Freeman’s not exactly the most desirable candidate either.
