Danny Granger will come off the bench in the Pacers’ first preseason game

The Pacers have a real chance of winning the East this season, but they have some issues regarding their rotation. Danny Granger missed most of last season with a knee injury, and he will be back and healthy this year. Lance Stephenson started in his place, and he emerged as a good player. Now, with Granger back, there is much speculation as to who will start. According to Scott Agness of Pacers.com, Granger will come off the bench for the first preseason game against the Bulls:

The preseason actually has little to do with what happens in the regular season, so this may not mean much. Expect Frank Vogel to tinker with the lineups in preseason in training camp. I think Granger should come off the bench, that means Indiana will have Danny Granger, Luis Scola, C.J. Watson, and Ian Mahimi. That will be one of the best benches in the league, and that will correct the issues they had last season. Plus, it really only matter who finishes games. It will be more important to see how Paul George and Granger will fit now that George has emerged as a star. Danny Granger could be traded before the end of the season.

You are 100 percent correct! I hope Vogel goes that route to. it will not only help the pacers but granger as well. less min. at least to start means less stress on his knees which helps him and the team. if he causes problems over it which I do not think he will it will also show teams he has recovered enough the pacers can get a good return in a trade.
