Tomorrow the Chicago Bulls will open pre-season play against the Indiana Pacers, but starting center Joakim Noah will not be playing.
Noah hasn’t practiced the last couple of days and it was recently released that he’s been dealing with a groin injury. The team decided to keep him out for a couple of days but his injury shouldn’t be that serious. They’re going to need him 100% for the regular season so it won’t matter if he misses some pre-season games.
Guard Captain Kirk Hinrich returned to the team after missing some time alongside Noah, but Kinrich was bothered with back spasms. His status for tomorrow’s pre-season opener remains up in the air, but there could be a good chance he may sit this one out as well.
The good news is, is that Hinrich did return to practice as he will back up Derrick Rose this season and have a smaller role with this team despite Nate Robinson leaving for the Denver Nuggets.
This team and it’s fans are itching to see Rose back in action tomorrow, so the roof should be blown off of the arena even though it’s an away game. He should get a standing ovation from Indiana’s fans as well. This pre-season match up should be entertaining.
Hinrich practiced and Thibodeau will decide if he plays tomorrow. Noah’s groin sidelined him today and he won’t play in Indy.
