Butch Jones’ challenges are many as he tries to revive a Tennessee Volunteers program that has fallen on hard times.
He’s in the midst of his first SEC gauntlet, as the Vols’ schedule features games against the likes of Florida, Alabama and Georgia today.
He’s trying to keep a top-tier recruiting class intact despite a sagging record. He’s dealing with the strong possibility things are going to get worse before they get better.
And he’s also trying to upset the heavily-favored Bulldogs at Neyland Stadium today, and after an early third down conversion in the third quarter was overturned, Jones went irrate on the sidelines.
He wasn’t as angry that the call was reversed, but more so due to it had appeared the Vols had gotten the snap off after the play in question, which would prevent a review from occurring.
