Kevin Durant has epic dunk during preseason opener in Turkey

You may or may not have known that the NBA preseason tipped off Friday evening with the Oklahoma City Thunder taking on Fenerbahce in Istanbul, Turkey.

But just in case you didn’t know, OKC Thunder star and NBA poster boy Kevin Durant wanted to make sure you did with the dunk heard around the world – literally.

Durant, after grabbing a defensive rebound in the third quarter decided to slowly walk the ball up court (while traveling), waiting for a play to develop.

A screen was set and Durant took flight, jumping from about a foot inside the key, extending over a defender, slamming down an epic dunk that sent the crowd and announcers into a frenzy.

The stockier looking Durant seemed to be pretty pleased with himself, though, in traditional Durant fashion didn’t feel the need to show anybody up and just made his way back down the court to play defense.

Speaking of defense, as can be seen in the video, there wasn’t exactly a whole lot being played so maybe that devalues Durant’s slam a bit, but it was still nasty regardless.
