The hype and anticipation surrounding Leonard Fournette, the phenomenal running back recruit out of the state of Louisiana, has been building for years. Some have called him the LeBron James of high school football. Some have called him the next Adrian Peterson.
Whether those claims will be warranted or not remain to be seen, but we’re certainly going to find out soon as it’s rapidly approaching the point where Fournette will finally have to pick a place where he will take his tremendous talents to showcase them.
Unlike many others, Fournette has yet to verbally express where he’d like to do that. So, at this point, we have no idea with which school he’ll sign on the dotted line come the first Wednesday of February 2014.
One thing that we do know, though, is that the young man has certainly built quite the fan base for himself already without even playing a down of college football yet.
Tonight, on the ESPN family of networks, Fournette was able to give the nation a taste of what they’ll all be seeing soon at the highest level of collegiate football, thus gaining himself even more admirers than he already had before.
You know, like Lil’ Wayne, for example:
Leonard Fournette is the truth!
