Minnesota issues statement on Jerry Kill's latest seizure

Minnesota Golden Gophers head coach Jerry Kill suffered yet another seizure on Saturday morning before the team was set to face off against the Michigan Wolverines and he will not be coaching in today’s game.

The Golden Gophers have issued a statement to confirm the news, which was first reported by CBS Sports.

Here is the statement that the Golden Gophers have released:

Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill is at home in Minneapolis and will not be on the sideline for today’s game against Michigan. Coach Kill was not feeling well on Friday morning and decided to meet the team in Ann Arbor on Saturday. He then suffered a seizure on Saturday morning and will remain at home in Minnesota for today’s game.

Coach Kill has been in contact with his staff today and defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys will serve as Minnesota’s acting head coach from the press box.

We wish Kill the best and hope that he can rest up and begin to feel better as he recovers from his latest seizure.
