Ohio State vs. Northwestern: Buckeyes take the lead following big interception

Deep in the Wildcats territory, Northwestern quarterback Trevor Siemian dropped back to pass and all of the Northwestern faithful yelled “NO” when he let go of the ball. The ball ended up in the hands of Buckeye Doran Grant who was able to return the ball to the Northwestern 16 yard line.

After getting the ball inside the 10 yard line, Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde to a handoff and attempted to dive over the pile. Hyde was initially ruled down by the side judge but the instant replay clearly showed Hyde lineman surfing and then dangerously holding the ball out over the goal line.

It was indisputable evidence that he had given Ohio State the lead. As we enter the last 10 minutes of the game, this will prove to be the best finish of any of the college football games for the day. Expect Urban Meyer to pull out any possible plays he has stached in order to keep Ohio State’s current winning streak intact.
