Kevin Harvick wins Hollywood Casino 400

Kevin Harvick won at the Kansas speedway on Sunday afternoon. The race was a wreck filled mess on a surface that had some of the drivers complaining at the end of the day. The win was Harvick’s 3rd of the year. Harvick took the pole position earlier in the week for the first time since he did it in 2006 in New Hampshire. Interestingly enough, he won that race also.

Harvick was very complementary of his team and how hard they competed all weekend.

“These guys just did a great job all weekend,” Harvick said. “To have a car fast enough for me to qualify on the pole says a lot about how fast this thing is.”

The win moves Harvick into the top 3 in the NASCAR Chase for the Championship. Matt Kenseth still leads but Jimmie Johnson has closed the gap a bit. Here are the complete standings post race.
