The Jacksonville Jaguars looked poised for a breakout game after Justin Blackmon took a Blaine Gabbert pass 67-yards for the score in his first game back from a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, but the joy was short lived.

Later in the first quarter, No. 2 overall pick Luke Joeckel suffered a lower leg injury and was carted off of the field. Joeckel had his right leg rolled up on during a run and he immediately went down and was attended to by the medical staff.

Joeckel was unable to put any weight on the injured leg.

Add in the fact that the Jaguars just traded away offensive tackle Eugene Monroe earlier in the week, the team is about to have some serious offensive line troubles.

On the very next play, Gabbert threw a pick-six to St. Louis Rams safety Matt Giordano. Typical Jaguars.

A hot and promising start quickly turned disaster and what looked like a good opportunity to get their first win of the season could ultimately become the game that secures their worst record in franchise history.
