The Miami (OH) football team has a new coach.

After firing coach Don Treadwell, who started 0-5 this season, early Sunday afternoon, Miami athletic director David Sayler later announced Mike Bath will serve as interim head football coach for the remainder of the 2013 season.

Bath has been the quarterback and wide receiver coach for Miami the past three seasons and has been an assistant for the Redhawks for six years, as well as a former player from 1998 to 2000.

As a quarterback for Miami during that time, Bath went 23-10 and recorded 6,524 passing yards and 49 touchdowns.

Miami, and Sayler, will introduce Bath as the interim coach to the media at 10:30 a.m. Monday inside Millett Hall.

Miami (0-5, 0-1 Mid-American Conference) visits Massachusetts at 3 p.m. Saturday at Gillette Stadium.
