Bayern Munich didn’t win their match against Bayer Leverkusen yesterday, the two sides ended the game in a 1-1 draw. That one point though was enough to move them to the top of the table following Borussia Dortmund’s loss Saturday. Munich manager Pep Guardiola isn’t that pleased however.

“Congratulations to my players. I am proud of our performance,” Guardiola told Sky Sports Deutschland, via ESPN FC. “We have played very, very well. Nevertheless, we have not won. I do not know what to say. But that’s football. [Bernd] Leno is a very good goalkeeper.

“We had done everything, but we are still in first place.”

Pep Guardiola’s squad still hasn’t lost a game this season, it is their second draw of the season however. They have also allowed only three goals this season, a league best mark. Guardiola’s captain wasn’t as pessimistic.

“Despite clear opportunities we have failed to score,” Munich captain Philipp Lahm said. “With the game itself, we can be happy, we were clearly superior.”
