Tampa Bay Rays starting pitching David Price is among the elite in the game, though, his most recent playoff performance against the Boston Red Sox left a lot to be desired.

Everybody  has a bad game now and then, of course, it’s just that Price happened to have his at the worst of times.

The frustration from the loss apparently boiled over last night as Price, after being beaten up by the Sox, took to Twitter and expressed his displeasure with a handful of well known writers, calling them ‘water boys’ and ‘nerds’.

Dirk Hayhurst…COULDNT hack it…Tom Verducci wasn’t even a water boy in high school…but yet they can still bash a player…SAVE IT NERDS

I’ll give Price credit for this – the tweet is still up on his account, so he didn’t back down from his words. Of course, I’m sure the Rays’ front office and public relations staff isn’t exactly thrilled with the comments, so it might be taken down in the near future.
