Matt Ryan has a new contract. He is the franchise player of the Atlanta Falcons as . Ryan has plenty of talent around him in Julio Jones and Roddy White a wide receiver and a legend at a tight end in Tony Gonzalez. Not to mention the Falcons helped out Ryan in the running game to sign Steven Jackson in free agency. All of the talent around Ryan wasn’t good enough for his team to win on the road in week 1 against the New Orleans Saints.

Now the Falcons four weeks later sit at 1-3. Ryan doesn’t have any excuses left. He has to get it done and get it done now. A losing record while getting paid the way he is, especially given the fact that Ryan does not have a Super Bowl ring is huge pressure. It was funny last season in the playoffs when a lot of people said that the monkey is off Ryan’s back because he finally won a playoff game. If that is the case, is the monkey off Tony Romo’s back when he won his first playoff game in 2009?

The excuses have run out. Little by little we are seeing what the Falcons and Ryan are capable of doing under pressure. Which is nothing. A lot of people say Ryan pulled the Falcons from the dead when Michael Vick left. Well, if Ryan doesn’t start producing as soon as possible, he will send the Falcons to cap hell with his brand new contract.
