After winning Game 1, the Detroit Tigers couldn’t have asked for a more favorable situation. Ace Justin Verlander was taking the mound in Game 2 and the Tigers could have returned home with a 2-0 series lead.

Sonny Gray and the Athletics had a different idea as the young pitcher shut down the powerful Detroit lineup en route to knotting the series up at one game a piece.

The lone change in Oakland’s lineup will be Jed Lowrie and Josh Donaldson switching spots in the order. For Detroit, shortstop Jhonny Peralta will draw a start in the outfield.

Here is the Game 3 lineup for both the Athletics and Tigers.
