On Monday, the Mid-American Conference named Buffalo running back Branden Oliver its East Division Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Bulls’ 42-14 win over visiting Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
Oliver rushed for a season-high 150 yards and two touchdowns, and he averaged 6.0 yards per carry. He scored a 60-yard touchdown on Buffalo’s opening drive.
The Miami, Fla. native has rushed 87 times for 345 yards and four touchdowns in five games this year.
Buffalo (3-2, 1-0 MAC East) visits Western Michigan at 3 p.m. Saturday at Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo, Mich. ESPN3 will air the game.
