On Monday Night Football the Atlanta Falcons host the New York Jets. The Jets will have a hard time covering all of Atlanta’s receiving threats like wide receivers Julio Jones and Roddy White and tight end Tony Gonzalez.

Jones is expecting Jets cornerback Anotnio Cromartie to shadow him tonight.

“He matched Johnson the whole time, so it’s a possibility,” Jones said of Cromartie’s defense on Calvin Johnson in a preseason game. “But when you’ve got two great receivers on one team, it’s not telling who they’re going to match: me or Roddy.”

That match-up is an interesting one giving their comparable sizes. Jones is 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds while Cromartie comes in at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds.

“He’s a very athletic, long, rangy corner,” Jones said of Cromartie, via ESPN. “And he’s got great speed.”

Jones had been listed as questionable for the Monday Night Football game, but his comments indicate he will be playing. Jones has had a good season considering he’s been banged up. This season he has 33 catches for 481 yards and two touchdowns. ESPN ranks the Jets defense as the 7th best in the NFL allowing only 203.8 yards per game.

It’ll be a fun match up to watch.
