The UCF Knights are members of the American Athletic Conference. Meaning, they are a part of the remains of the debacle that Mike Aresco has created in the new post Big East Conference world. So yeah, the league is going to be about as much fun to watch as a unicorn fist-fighting a lobster. Okay, I lied. A unicorn and a lobster fighting to the death is pretty cool.
Despite the AAC not being as cool as a cucumber on the opposite side of the pillow, the Knights plan on wearing a new, fancy uniform this season.

I guess playing in a sub-par conference, for a horrible commissioner but playing in a warm state allows such a program to make uniforms that are similar to the New York Yankees. Sadly for UCF, the Yankees they are not.
Last season saw the Knights win 20 games. Which is a great feat and all, however, they were not eligible to participate in postseason play because of NCAA sanctions. So they have had recent trouble with the people in charge of their sport.
I guess they are like the Yankees in the sense that they both get in trouble. Granted, for the New York franchise it is because of some (alleged) PED user. For the Knights, well, it wasn’t nearly as polarizing and the year before they did make the NIT.
