‘Once Upon A Time’ promotes new spin-off in odd way

Last night, when the hit series based in the land of fairy tales Once Upon A Time aired on ABC, a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company,  its latest episode ‘Lost Girl’ gave us an inside look into their new spin-off series, Once Upon A Time in Wonderland.

However, thanks to some of the most unfortunate ad placement that one could possibly think of, they successfully gave a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘Down the Rabbit Hole.’

Don’t get me wrong, Once Upon A Time is one of my favorite must-see shows, and I am really looking forward to the premiere of Once Upon A Time in Wonderland. I mean, I am a girl after all. However, this could not have possibly looked more wrong.

During a scene where Snow White, played in Once by Ginnifer Goodwin, comes to see Rumplestiltskin, played by Robert Carlyle, about a sword that he produced for her soon-to-be Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), assumed to be Excalibur, the promo would play out.

Just as Snow White utters the words,

“He came to you looking for something powerful enough to vanquish the queen,”

The white rabbit pops out from the right side of our screen, placed his hand on the imaginary wall, and drew a portal to Wonderland. Just as he goes to hop through said portal and disappear into the world run my magic, and of course the Red Queen, you realize that the portal had been drawn directly over Snow’s lady parts, thus giving a new, and unfortunate, meaning to ‘Down The Rabbit Hole.’

Think I am kidding? Well, have a look for yourself thanks to pointing out Russ Frushtick’s Instagram Account.

When promo graphics go horribly wrong.

Now, while I would tend to side with the good guys and say that this was all a ‘Happy Accident’ and that this was by no means planned, can something this interestingly misplaced really be an innocent mistake?

Decide for yourself and let us know in the comments below.
