The day that American Horror Story fans have been waiting for so long for is almost here. On Wednesday, the doors will swing open at Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies, and the new season will begin.
The people behind the show have given us another look into the eerily dark series in a new trailer entitled ‘Mythology’.
In the trailer, we get a look at all three of the main actresses in Coven.
In the beginning, we see Fiona, played by Jessica Lange, warning us all about the oncoming storm. She reminds us that “when witches don’t fight, we burn.”
We also get out first real look at Madame Delphine LaLaurie, played by Academy Award winner Kathy Bates. We see a small example of the torture that Madame LaLaurie would exact upon her slaves, as she has a young man bound in her basement as she experiments with him, effectively turning him into a Minotaur.
Then, we get a one of our first looks at the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans, Marie Laveau, played by Angela Bassett. The Queen is sitting upon her throne observing the events that are playing out. In the trailer, she delivers what could come to be one of the resounding themes of the show,
Too late for tears, damage is done.”
With that line’s perfect delivery, I can assure you that this is bound to be one intense season of ‘American Horror Story’; quite possibly the best one yet.
Fortunately, we don’t have much longer to wait.
American Horror Story: Coven premieres on Wednesday, October 9th at 10:00 p.m. on FX.
