Hot of the heels of Cris “Cyborg” Justino making her pro Muay Thai debut, another Invicta FC fighter will be stepping into the Lion Fight ring.

Lion Fight announced that strawweight Kaiyana Rain will make her professional Muay Thai debut at Lion Fight 12, Nov. 1, against Miranda Cayabyab, an outstanding amateur Muay Thai and kickboxer who will be moving to the professional level for the first time.

While Cayabyab comes in with more fights on her record, Rain has several attributes that could help her in the fight. In her MMA bouts against Tecia Torres and Kailin Curran she has shown good striking, as well as a great chin. Rain has never been finished in her seven amateur bouts and two professional matches.

Another factor that will help Rain is her training camp. She currently trains at Kings MMA with Rafael Cordeiro, a former Vale Tudo and Muay Thai champion. For fans of Pride Fighting Championships, they may recognize Cordeiro as he was at one time affiliated with Chute Boxe Academy and has trained a who’s who of legendary Brazilian strikers. He left Chute Boxe in 2009 and founded Kings MMA in Huntington Beach, Calif.

Rain also trains with former Invicta FC Atomweight champion Jessica Penne and is affiliated with Blackhouse MMA and Werdum Combat Team. When she started MMA she already proved she was a good striker, but with the help of Cordeiro and her other training partners, she could become a top-ranked Muay Thai fighter in little time.

If Rain gets the win over Cayabyab, this could be the start of a great Muay Thai career for her.
