After allegedly admitting he had a bit of doubt in regards to his return, Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant headed to Germany recently where he underwent treatment on his knee.

It isn’t known exactly what Bryant was/is having done or why he felt it was needed, though Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski suggested it was a form of plasma therapy:

Kobe Bryant is traveling to Germany to have another round of platelet-rich plasma therapy on his right knee, league sources tell Y! Sports.

It’s not the first time Bryant or other famed athletes have left the country to seek medical treatment that may or may not be allowed in the States. You may recall, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning had procedures on his neck done in Europe.

As to Bryant, I’m sure there’s plenty more to the process than what’s pictured below, though it seems as all he’s going through in the photo is a simple form of acupuncture. Still, more than enough needles involved for me to start feeling that queasy feeling in my stomach.
